Our President

John C. Parks is a distinguished pastor, business strategist, and transformational leader whose dynamic career spans over four decades. With 49 years of experience in pastoral ministry and 36 years in senior-level business leadership, he has developed a unique blend of spiritual discernment and executive acumen. He also serves as President of the New Hope Resource Center, an outreach hub committed to empowering individuals and families through education, workforce development, and holistic community engagement.

 

Bishop Parks’ pastoral journey has included shepherding several congregations, including Willow Grove Missionary Baptist Church (Covington, TN), Cedar Grove Baptist Church (Mason, TN), and Pilgrim Rock Baptist Church (Chattanooga, TN). In each of these contexts, he has been a catalyst for spiritual renewal, organizational growth, and community outreach.

 

He holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Tennessee State University, an MBA from Wake Forest University, and an Executive Strategy and Organizational Performance (ESPO) certification from Stanford University. His academic and professional training has enabled him to lead large-scale organizational transformations in both faith-based and corporate settings.

Throughout his business career, Bishop Parks has managed over 3,000 employees, overseen operating budgets exceeding $500 million annually, and directed assets totaling more than $1.5 billion. His expertise in strategic planning, operational leadership, and change management continues to influence leaders in both ecclesiastical and corporate environments.

 

Driven by Proverbs 3:5 6, Bishop Parks is deeply committed to helping individuals and communities walk in the fullness of God’s Kingdom promises. His faith in God is the guiding force behind every endeavor, empowering him to lead with conviction, compassion, and vision.

 

An internationally recognized preacher, mentor, teacher, consultant, and speaker, Bishop Parks is also the author of five books and the publisher of the national Christian magazine Hope Today. He holds patents, reflecting his innovative approach to problem-solving and leadership. He is the proud father of two daughters and the grandfather of five grandchildren.
